WIDGETS FOR MAC
A little more room
on your Mac.
A separate desktop app, designed to complement—not replace—the widgets already on your Mac.
Does macOS already have desktop widgets?
Yes. macOS Sonoma and later support widgets on the desktop, including compatible iPhone widgets. If the built-in collection covers your needs, you may not need another app. Widgets is being built for people who want a consistent look across notes, tasks, focus timers, clocks, and more.
How Widgets works on a Mac
Widgets runs as a menu-bar app with individual widget windows. Unlock the layout to type notes, check tasks, move cards, or resize them. Locking uses the macOS desktop window layer, where the widgets do not receive keyboard or mouse input. Use the menu bar or Command + Shift + W to unlock again.
What is available in the first version?
The initial implementation includes a clock, calendar, notes, tasks, a focus timer, weather, CPU/memory readings, and a countdown. Three themes keep the collection visually consistent. Notes and tasks are independent local data—not synced Apple Notes, Reminders, or calendar events.
Compatibility and availability
Signed Intel and Apple Silicon installers are not available yet. Desktop-layer behavior, multiple displays, Spaces, sleep/wake, and startup behavior must pass testing on real Macs before we publish supported OS versions. Try the browser preview in the meantime.
